Courtney Zbitnev
Courtney is an interdisciplinary artist currently residing in Victoria, BC. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Victoria, where she completed her BC Arts Council-funded thesis "Looper Moth Season."

She holds a BA in English and Creative Writing from Western University. At Western, she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Arts and Humanities publications Semicolon and Symposium as well as the university's Student Writer-in-Residence.

Courtney has a special interest in writing about mental health and chronic illness. She was shortlisted for the National Bridge Prize in Fiction in 2024 and 2020, and her poetry and prose have been published in local and international literary magazines, including Prism International, Cold Strawberries Collective, Re-Side Magazine, and ang(st) zine.

Courtney is currently available to hire for freelance editing services, photography, readings, panels, and as a workshop facilitator.
